Headwaters Trail

We started with bridleways along the high ground above the River Calder to create the Calder Divide Trail. But the tracks along the Calder connect into a much larger network. So what started as the Calder Divide has grown into a much bigger trail.

The Headwaters Trail is 325kms long and connects bridleways and greenways that take you over Pennine moors to the source - the 'head of the waters' - of the River Calder above Todmorden in the South Pennines, the River Aire high above Malham in the Yorkshire Dales and the River Don above Peniston in the Peak District.

Along the way we travel across farmers' double track on millstone grit, singletrack on limestone, fast flowing gravel trails through oak woodland and quality 'traffic-free' greenways on canal towpaths and reclaimed railway lines.

The route is 325kms long, is approximately 80% 'off-road' and starts / finishes Mytholmroyd Community Center on 4th May - 6th May 2024. There are a range of options on this event with supported campsites, meals and luggage transfer or ‘traditional’ DIY bikepacker

Source to Sea Trail

The second event is the ‘Source to Sea Trail’. It is 850kms long and starts/finishes in Hebden Bridge on 25th May - 31st May 2024.
